GMail - Mail, Contacts and Tasks  (Teresa)

You have unlimited storage with your granitesd.org Gmail accounts.

Setting up Groups in your Gmail first makes sharing Google docs simple later since all of these Google Apps work together.

Google Docs will already recognize who you are trying to share your Google Docs with when you start typing a name, so you can simply click on a contact to share something with.

While your Gmail is open, please send an email to [email protected].
I will show you how to easily add people to your contacts list, so that you do not have to look many people up and type in their contact information.

  • Layout
    • Mail, Contacts and Tasks
    • Read and Unread Mail
    • Info about the sender and contact options
  • No Folders (Gmail is organized with labels)

Now You Try Creating and Sharing a Document
  • Title Your Document - A Favorite Place
  • Share it with your group and assign editing rights
  • Type a brief description of a favorite place you have visited and then collaborate with others adding the same information
  • Try out the chat and comments features
  • Try out the Research tool as well by clicking on Tools and then Research. Then you can also add pictures or links about the place you visited.
  • Try Translating Your Document to another language to see how that works. It creates a copy of your original document.
